BASMA volunteers pay visits to children with cancer at the Kids Hospital and Albeiruni Hospital in Damascus 5 times/week and provide moral support. These visits include a variety of pre-planned activities and entertainment programs for the children.

Hospital Visits program

The program has been reactivated at the beginning of 2022 after a 3 years suspension due to the Covid pandemic. The volunteer team in the association conduct visit at an average of 5 visits weekly for 2 hours to the Hematology and Oncology unit at the children hospital. The volunteers offer a myriad of games and entertainment for the kids.

Outside-Hospital Visits Program:

Since it has stopped in the mid-2016, we have reactivated the outside-hospital activities, where BASMA volunteers along with other initiatives and charities conduct recreational programs for children with cancer in Damascus only, out of the hospitalization period, with an average of 1 activity every 2 months. The team managed to conduct 7 activities in 2023 BASMA survivors and patients in remission.
